The demand to have access to information, minimizing the wrongdoings of the Government and to proceed towards establishing a transparent system has been long felt. Despite the assurances made through election manifesto by various Political Parties in time to time during election hours, there seems still lacking the eagerness within them in its implementation. Right to Information Act has to some extent provided few rights to the citizens of India in seeking information from the public officials. Globally India ranks as 79th according to the Corruption Perception Index. The long desire to establish an Accountable Government still couldn’t be achieved even after the celebration of 70th Independence Day and remains a dream for the Mute Citizens of Republic India.
