Rights That Are Needed in This 21st Century to Protect Women and Child | Original Article

“While ‘Ideal’ worshipped, the ‘Real’ was neglected”. It is difficult to call the women right as inherent rights, fundamental right or by some other name. The rights by themselves have no fixed content and most of them are empty vessels into which each generation has poured its contents in the light of its experience. The framers of the constitution were aware of sociology of the problem of emancipation of female sex. As Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, “It became the object of the state to protect women from exploitation and provide justice”. The problem that women face from cradle to the grave is not of normal type.
