ACHIEVEMENT DETAILS OF DIFFERENT LEVEL OF COMPETITION IN BASEBALL IN DIFFERENT COLLEGES OF DELHI
Table 7 indicated that total 18 colleges responded that they had participated at the inter-college level out of which 6 colleges got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position respectively in both girls and boys category and 14 colleges responded that they had participated at state level out of which 6 colleges got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position respectively in both girls and boys category.
DISCUSSION ON FINDINGS
An analysis of the study shows that the availability of playing area and other relative facilities and provisions which were below the expectation level, except few colleges, on the other hand if we observe the BASEBALL participation at different levels it was found that each college has participated whether they have facilities at the college or not. So, probably, the professionals and teachers working at the different colleges were making efforts to provide the facilities, training, and other assistance, coaching may be provided outside the college to achieve the optimum performance and to develop skills and their execution from outside the college regularly. Further, it may be analyzed that all the 18 college of Delhi University have lesser facility than the requirement. In addition to that the different budgetary provisions are less in most of the colleges than participation and achievements in BASEBALL events at different level. However, some of the colleges reported that they are providing some sort of scholarship, fee-concession, prizes, sports kit, awards, and also provide the recognition as outstanding sports person at annual function and sports function of the respective college.
CONCLUSIONS
1) That more facilities and budgetary provision were required in connection with the related variables of the study. 2) The sports achievement and participation of selected colleges affiliated to Delhi University were recorded better than the existing facilities Bucher, Charles A.
