ABSTRACT
It is essential to make the public aware of formidable consequences of Environmental Degradation. We are facing various environmental challenges. It is essential to get or students acquainted with these challenges that their act may be eco-friendly. The vast majority of our population our directly dependent on nature resources for their basic needs of food, fuel shelter and fodder. Thus the challenge of poverty is the challenge of environment. So our population must be acquainted with methods to sustain and increase agricultural growth with damaging environment. Nearly 27 Indian live in urban areas. Urbanisation Industrialization has given birth to a great number of environmental problem that need urgent attention. So there become popular issue to make our students aware of this growing the pollution, so this is also important to informed our public about environmental programs and movement. The researcher twits that the environmental education helps at developing awareness and knowledge about environment issues and help them to develop positive attitude and skills in this regard. Environmental studies deals with every issue that affects an organism. So it becomes very important to make students to aware these.

INTRODUCTION
The concept of environment is not easy to define. The term has been wed widely and wildly. Environment derived from French word ―environir‖ which means ‗to surround‘. Environment refers to sum total of condition which surrounded man at a given point in space and time. It could be mean a sum total of all the external condition and influences that affect life. Man is not just like other organism. He is more a rational social being. His socio-cultural instincts introduces new kinds of intervention with nature. So we can explain environment is the sum of all condition process and effects which influence development life and death of organism their classes and species. There are two views about the fact that, it is the primary responsibility of man not only to preserve environment but also to improve its qualitatively. If we look back in the age of ‗puranas‘ we i will find the education was delivered to students at residence of guru. Guru‘s residence or ‗Ashram‘ was located n a peaceful atmosphere because education is more effective in a peaceful atmosphere, so education is more effective in a good atmosphere. The various environmental factors are interdependent and inter weaven with each other. In relation to man, the environment castitutes of air, land, water, flora and fauna because these regulates the man‘s life. Natural environment and man-made environment batha for human life. Kurt Lewin Hasenurated three types of environment which influence personality of an individual 1. Physical 2. Socio-Cultural 3. Psycho environment 4. Environment logical 5. Environment education Environment does not stop with acquiring information about environment but also help to acquire attitude and value conducive to environmental protection and understanding of inter depence of nature & people environment education is the education through environment education helps the students in programming, proceed from concrete to abstracts. Environment education teaches people that natural environment and manmade environment are profoundly interdepend and linles the acts of today to the consequences tomorrow environmental education is life long process if recognizing values and clarify concepts in order to develop foundation for a new international order which will guarantee the conservation and improvement of environment. Now it is needs of time that people must understand the environmental awareness and attitude several govt. and have govt. organization educate people and create environment. The future of any country also lined with its environmental education so environmental education should be not and ‗option‘ and it should be a ‗must‘
OBJECTIVES:
1. To study the environmental awareness and attitude of high school students of rural and urban areas. 2. To find out difference of environmental awareness and environmental attitude of high school girls of rural and urban areas. 3. To study difference of environmental attitude of high school boys of rural and urban areas. 4. To create environmental awareness and sensitivity among high school students of rural and urban areas. 5. To help the students of high school of rural and urban areas to acquire values and feelings of concern awareness and attitude and their active participation in environment protection.
METHOD:
Survey and comparative method were use for this study scholar prepare questionair to study awareness among high school students of urban and rural area. Self made questionnaire include fifty question which having information of total environment and its related problem. Other self made questionnaire having fifty question regarding environmental attitude of high school students of urban and rural areas of jaipur block. Primary data is collected firstly through field survey. Data are collected with specify set of objectives. Data are collected through self made questionnaire which having questions related to environmental awareness and attitude. analyzed by using statistics of means standard deviation and t-test and arriving at a conclusion.
FINDING:
Environment is a multi-dimensional system of interrelationship in a changing atmosphere. Environment is a source of happiness of man and his happiness will touch peak if we learn to love and appreciate nature. The fund of knowledge was collected from references books research etc. On basis of data collection study reveals that there is lat of difference of environmental awareness and attitude of high school girls and boys of urban and rural areas of jaipur block. The study reveals that no major difference of scores of environmental awareness and attitude of high school student of private and govt. school of rural and urban area of jaipur block. This study also shows that these is difference of awareness and environmental attitude of high school girls of rural and urban areas. Girl of urban areas are more attentive towards environmental awareness and attitude. Boys of high school of urban and rural areas are also difference in their scores of environmental awareness and attitude. Boys of urban areas are more attentive and active towards whole environment as compared to rural areas high school boys. It can be said that knowledge and understanding of facts and concepts related to environmental problems like as water, soil and noise pollution etc. The reason considered that more exposure are given to urban than rural areas. Thus school pays more attention towards environmental campaign and programs. Urban areas high school performs really and more activities. On same special days like environment day they organize quiz program. They organize poster making competition to develop and motivate the environmental awareness and attitude. Urban areas girls and boys get more information through media, internet and sometimes their background of family also helps them. Their surroundings are more neat and clean than rural areas. Their make them aware about whole environment so their participation in all activities are more than that of rural areas students of high school.
