ABSTRACT

Educational institutions authority did not show interest in advanced technology, some organizations feel that it is not necessary. Users growing demands and good suggestions develop library and library activity. If library users (teachers/ students) aware and demand for digital facilities like e-resources and networking services and databases then library development start. Many institutions and library staff feel fear and stress about new technology; it is evident that, these many problems reduce the importance of digital library. Researcher in this research project finds out the actual situation of college libraries and education institutions attitude towards digital technology. Researcher also tries to know teachers interest, teachers opinion about audio video aids, digital technologies equipment in teachings process.

INTRODUCTION

The Digital Library has various implications with specific individuals & affiliations. The Digital Library that contain a collection of digital documents, databases, video games & learning materials available to children through a laptop. Collections that can be viewed over the Internet, such as GIS and CAD details, satellite symbolism, video exhibits, This can include a digital library for a space scientist. For the owner of a company, the digital library offers a collection of information about the application, such as massive market deals, stocks and offers, expenditure statistics, and so on. It is in basic words. Digital Library is a collection of digitalized material, designed for the gathering of people or a network, this helps clients to have the strength they don't have with conventional libraries. Words are utilized for interactive library use in a number of ways, such as insinuating indirectly linked activities such as sight and hearing index, knowledge processing, knowledge collection, information extraction, online software shops, computer archive, mobile archive, picture files, digital backup, digital text, eBooks, publisher repositories, e-journals, etc. As per the Digital Library Federation, "Digital Libraries are associations that give the assets, including the specific staff, to choose, structure, offer scholarly access to, decipher, disseminate, protect the uprightness of, and guarantee the diligence after some time of collections of digital works with the goal that they are promptly and monetarily accessible for use by a characterized network or set of networks".

OBJECTIVES

1. To explain the knowledge among librarians of electronic resources & cycle of digitization. 2. To recognize the understanding among teachers of the usage of online media as a teaching method. 3. To found the innate knowledge & deep curiosity of students in digital technologies, the technical limitations & other services offered by the college library.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Each researcher & researcher provided a well-defined, correct & clear methodology for study work. If the technique & methods are simple and effective, and if the researcher is not distracted, then every researcher will get closer to the research work. The researcher should also be alert & very carefully collected; collect secondary data & then evaluate the data for the particular scenario & get to the issue. The current work is both qualitative & quantitative in nature. The qualitative method refers both to descriptive & in-descriptive ways of analysis.

essence of the specific circumstance of the question. In order to carry out the report, the researcher will obtain data from different colleges of education in the Dharwad district. Researcher chooses university junior, senior & diploma courses for research. The process of collecting the data has been accepted by the questionnaire. This questionnaire approach has a major role to play in research. The system of the questionnaire will provide much required information. In the present study, the researcher prepaid three forms of separate data collection questionnaire. All three types of respondent & their response are very valuable and important for study purposes.

ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION OF DATA COLLECTION

The findings of the field study with the aid of the student questionnaire, the teacher questionnaire and the library questionnaires provided in the Dharwad districts of the colleges of educational institutions. This chapter presents an overall description of the uses, goals, requires and importance of education and also expansion and development, the creation of digital libraries, digital libraries in the Dharwad educational setting.

PROFOUNDITY IN THE FIELD WORKS:

While the research study carried out with the assistance of field work was limited in forms of duration and scale. The study will devote more than 3 to 4 months gathering responses from pupils, teachers and librarians. At the first meeting with students, the researcher delivered the questionnaire to the students at the classroom, and there was an informal discussion with the teachers regarding their classes, workplaces, syllabuses & activities. The study will obtain a questionnaire from the students within a few days. The study also tried to collect all the guidelines and observations provided by the faculty on innovative technical advances in colleges. It really helped the researcher to examine the results.

Digital Libraries & Networking Resources are the student's helping side today. Students and readers are essential in this field of research and the main theme is that they are predominantly users of digital libraries. First students tend to pursue information with the desire to succeed and be self-sufficient. If they don't get the specifics they're counting on, the students go to a friend. Each student wants ready-made papers, ready-made papers, one hand, and all information at once. Today, in networking libraries, students are reading on-screen, students want to browse further databases, e-resources, & search engines for expected information. The digital library, e-resources and its various software also allow students to learn.

Teachers become the students' mentors. Teacher teaches students, and every concept is clear in the minds of students. The teachers today are very smart and alert. They use a number of instructional approaches in the instructional process. Teachers use library services to educate.. Many conventional and technical tools are used by teachers in the teaching cycle. Teachers are now using smart classrooms ŕ digital screen, computers, CDs, and numerous audio and video tools for teaching. In this research study, the teacher's response is really strong, out of 150 students, 104 are answering questionnaires.

College libraries are at the core of education institutions. Each college library and its growth is very necessary in terms of education. Among this technical era, college librarians have a responsibility & obligation not only to consider the type & design used by college libraries to introduce computerization & automation strategies, as well as to acknowledge & appreciate advances in technological advantages & library automation. Today, libraries continue to develop creative services to serve the requires of users. Libraries have changed absolutely, both in their selection & growth & the nature of their facilities. Digital technologies and the usage of the Internet also transformed the nature of digital and correspondence. The library is a wonderful location that has done a lot of purpose that dream, because the libraries pull together both present research even looked into the real conditions in chosen college libraries with respect to library modernization and digitalisation. Studies often increase consciousness among pupils, teachers and librarians regarding the applications of electronic services. The current research has shown the rather bad real estate in digitalisation. The modern era has introduced a massive shift in the way knowledge is processed and viewed. This has contributed to a shift in the definition of librarian, their inventory and facilities. The knowledge practitioners provide consumers with a meaning. The study does not discuss the financial implications of digitization, as it depends on the technology used.
