1. INTRODUCTION

The Indian Government concerns for the welfare of Elderly but they are not successful. In a modern life style every person has all such things accept than time. Social and Culture Change:-
Social and Culture change builds community-based responses that address underlying social problems on an individual, institutional, community, national and international level. Social change can change attitudes, behaviors, laws, policies and institutions to better reflect values of inclusion, fairness, diversity and opportunity. Social change involves a collective action of individuals who are closest to the social problems to develop solutions that address social issues.
2. REVIEW OF LITERATURE:-
In Singh’s study of the differences in the nature and view of roles andexpectations held by the elderly and younger generations, it was found that ergative views towards the elderly were prevalent. Negative stereotypes were found to be held by the elderly themselves about their age (like being weak, dependent, nagging, inactive ands sometimes highly emotional) as well as by younger generations who noted other deficit so r limitations (for example the elderly as being cognitively deficient, unsatisfied with their lives rigid, disturbing and unimaginative). James A.Thorson, in Aging in a Changing Society tries to figure out the massive population shift, which the world is experiencing, as a revolution unprecedented in human history. Until the 20th
people has been increasing, but the ways in which different generations see the world have been changing as well. The physical as well as the psychological process of ageing and the health care system is well explained in the book. The topics are more applied than theoretical. Christina R. VictorpresentsOld age in Modern Society.ageing in modern society as a richly diverse experience. This book covers the social aspects of ageing by incorporating three distinct aspects of ageing. Ageing is considered as an individual experience, by investigating such topics as change in perceived identity as the individual progresses through life. The second aspect is the social context that defines ageing and seeks to understand the position of the elderly within the society. Third, the author examines the societal consequences of ageing. So the book finds the factors such as age, sex and social class contribute to make the elderly a heterogeneous segment within the total population. The author suggests that the main goal for an ageing society must be to replace notions of independence and dependence with a social framework, which emphasizes interdependence between generations.
