INTRODUCTION
Education has a vital place in the life of a human being. It is not only essential for the all-round development of the individual but also of the country. Behaviorally education also consists of teaching learning process performed in the school, which enables individuals to discover their inner potential. Role of education in future society will be dynamic and not limited to one field of study or only one aspect of life. Educationalists have visualized an interdisciplinary approach to the whole process of teaching and learning. Education must enable the individual to realize his/her individuality first and then it can prepare him/her for any vocation or profession. But to emphasize only on the vocational aspects of education will defeat its purpose. Presently in our country school education is provided by different organizations such as those established by Central Government, State Government, Private bodies, Religious bodies etc. These educational organizations offers either State, National (CBSE or CISCE) or International curriculum (CAIE, IB) as stand alone or in combination. International schools are those who prepare students for examinations prescribed by International school Education boards such as CAIE and IB . The curriculum remains the same irrespective of the country in which the school is situated. The International schools are also those who are accredited to the bodies like CIS, North Eastern ASC, CITA etc. International schools are known for their commitment to promote International mindedness, multilingual approach and easy relocation of the student across the world due to the uniformity of the curriculum. It is an observed phenomenon that parents are shifting their children from schools offering State or national curriculum to schools offering International Curriculum, due to several reasons including better quality of physical and educational facilities and Infrastructure, co-curricular activities and higher opportunity of getting accepted at universities abroad.
These changing circumstances inspired the researcher to study the opinion of parents towards International School education in relation to various variables.
