Abstract

Look at the deterrents that modern adaptors experience when shooting Shakespeare's plays, especially Macbeth and Antony and Cleopatra. This paper contends that in attempting to beat the issues of the content, the language, verse and stage show, producers have built up specific strategies so as to empower the screen serve Shakespeare's emotional structure, his portrayal and his verse.
