Exploring the Origins, Recent Work, and Future Research in Statistical Process Adjustment

Abstract

IndustrialStatisticians frequently face problems in their practice where adjustment of amanufacturing process is necessary. In this paper, a view of the origins andrecent work in the area of Statistical Process Adjustment (SPA) is provided. Adiscussion of some topics open for further research is also given including newproblems in semiconductor manufacturing process control. The goal of the paperis to help display the SPA as a research area with its own identity and contentand promote further interest in its development and application in industry.
