Exploring the Potential of Mobile Learning Platforms

Abstract

The ever increasingpenetration of smart mobile devices in everyday life of people coupled withrapid development of wireless infrastructure has resulted in transition ofe-leaning towards mobile learning (m-learning). This paper presents an accountof developments in this direction and discusses architecture of m-learningsystem. The proposed m-learning tool could have a potential to add-value on theexisting learning system if it is leveraged properly and help in distributionof courseware, user authentication and authorization, gathering of datarelative to the user-system interaction, provisioning of mobile services, etc.
