Abstract

This paper describes work in progress regarding health monitoringusing smart phones. Our research combines ubiquitous computing with mobilehealth technology. We will use wireless sensors and smart phones to monitor thewellbeing of high risk cardiac patients. The smart phone analysis in real-timethe ECG data and determines whether the person needs external help. Dependingon the situation the smart phone can automatically alert reassigned caregiversor call the ambulance.
