Abstract

India banking has experienced a momentous change in staged way in more than six decades since autonomy i.e. Establishment Phase (1950-1968), Development Phase (1968-1984), Consolidation Phase (1984-1990) and Reformatory Phase (1990-till). After freedom, the Government of India understood the significance of the saving banking industry for financial advancement and began auxiliary changes by re-sorting out and uniting the divided managing a banking network.
