In wireless systems, the desiredchannel must be selected in the presence of strong adjacent-channelinterferers. This requires wideband analog-to-digital converters (ADC) that candigitize both the desired and adjacent-channel interferers, resulting inhigh-dynamic range (DR) requirements. Meanwhile, the advances in the CMOS process, combined with its economical advantages, is driving the integration of acomplete wireless transceiver in baseline CMOS. The demand for greaterthroughput leads to digital modulation schemes of greater complexity combinedwith a greater signal band.Downloads
