Abstract

Mobile communication companies generate a tremendousamount of data. These data  include  call detail  data,  which describes  the  calls that  pass through    the networks, network data, which  describes the state of the hardware andsoftware components in the network, and customer data, which describes thecustomers. This paper describes that how data mining can be used to uncoveruseful information covered within these data sets.  Several  data mining applications are described and together they demonstratethat data mining can be used to identify telecommunication fraud, improvemarketing effectiveness, and identify network faults.
