Abstract
GeneExpression Programming is a procedure that mimics biological evolution to createa computer program to model some phenomenon. Gene expression programming can beused to create many different types of models including decision trees, neuralnetworks and polynomial constructs. The type of gene expression programmingimplemented in DTREG is Symbolic Regression – so named because it creates asymbolic mathematical or logical function.
