Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical items like mobile devices, homeappliances, vehicles, buildings and any other objects which are implanted with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity that empowers these objects to collect and interchange data. The IoTmakes objects to be sensed, recognized and controlled remotely through the existing networkinfrastructure. This property creates opportunities for the incorporation of the physical world into thecomputer-based systems and subsequently improves efficiency, accuracy and economic benefit when IoTis combined with sensors and actuators, it becomes an example of cyber-physical systems, which alsoincorporates technologies such as smart grids, smart homes, smart cities and intelligent transportationsystems. IoT is a new era of communication which involves various objects and communicationtechnologies to interchange information.
