Abstract

For the sustainable development of any country, electricity is the basic need for currentcivilization. Without hampering the environment, generation of electricity is very essential. Solar energyis completely natural, it is considered as clean energy source.Solar energy is one of the most promisingrenewable sources of energy for the present needs. Solar Photovoltaic Thermal (PVT) system is a hybridsystem used to produce both thermal and electrical energy. Moreover PVT collector does not cause anypollution during its operation and does not have any moving parts in it. This helps increasing thereliability and durability of the equipment. In this paper, we have studied the ddifferent types of solarhybrid photovoltaic thermal collectors with different cooling channel cross sections were analysed tostudy the effect of air and water cooling on the performance of solar hybrid photovoltaic thermal system.
