Abstract

Cleome viscosa Linn. (CLEOMACEAE) is a wild, sticky herb, commonly called “dog mustard”.Traditionally this plant possesses beneficial effects as an antiscorbutic, anthelmintic, antiseptic, febrifugeand cardiac stimulant. A wide variety of phytoprinciples have been isolated from its root, leaves andseeds.
