Abstract

Students, teachers, institutions all have academic performance as a measure of how far theyhave progressed toward their educational goals. In the framework of a developing education system,academic performance takes on school importance. Basic concepts that will guide a child's growth in bothschool outside world are learned in a family setting during the first few years of life. Mothers have animportant role in the development of their children and serve as role models for their children, influencingtheir growth and behavior. The purpose of the study was to find out how the children of non-workingmoms in Kanpur District of Uttar Pradesh (India) performed in terms of academics. Our research strategywas to use a descriptive survey method. The study's sample size is 100 youngsters (50 boys girlseach). The study's instruments included questionnaires, interviews, observation method. Thepercentage approach was used to examine the data. Among the children of non-working mothers, theboys performed better academically than the girls, according to a new study.
