Abstract

This research paper explores the influence of gender and socioeconomic status (SES) on youth participation in sports. While sports offer numerous physical, psychological, and social benefits to young individuals, disparities in participation rates persist among different demographic groups. Utilizing data from national surveys and research studies, this paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the factors that affect youth sports participation, focusing on the intersection of gender and SES. It discusses the barriers and facilitators to participation, highlighting the importance of inclusive policies and programs to ensure equitable access to sports for all youth.
