Impact of Soft Skills on Employee Performance and Job Satisfaction

Abstract
Soft skills, including communication, teamwork, flexibility, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, and time management, are crucial in influencing employee performance and overall workplace satisfaction. This study seeks to analyze the correlation between employees' competency in soft skills and their performance outcomes, along with its influence on job satisfaction across different organizational tiers. The study employed a quantitative methodology with a standardized questionnaire administered to 200 employees across the IT, education, and service industries. Statistical analysis, encompassing correlation and regression, was utilized to evaluate the hypotheses. The results indicated a robust positive correlation between soft skills and employee performance (r = 0.78) as well as between soft skills and work satisfaction (r = 0.73). The study suggests that firms investing in soft skills development programs get elevated employee engagement, reduced attrition, and improved productivity.
