A Comprehensive Model for Mobile Device Management in Education

Abstract

given the adaptability ofMobile learning, there are certain threats can emerge with excessive use oftechnology in education. Mobile technology can bring revolutionary changes inthe education system but at the same time it can be harmful if not used undercontrol. So there is a need to fully control mobile devices so that they can beused in education system in a positive way and illegal/unauthorized usage canbe blocked. This paper presents a comprehensive model for use of the concept ofmobile device management (MDM) in mobile based education. It includes thepolicy design for MDM client, a mechanism for use of MDM server to control thedevices and a method of implementation of this model in current scenario.
