Abstract

Knowledge sharing andmanagement (KSM) has emerged as an important issue for internationalmanagement. However, there is considerable confusion as to what constitutesorganizational knowledge, whether and how it can be systematically managed, andsome of the effective organizational and technological mechanisms forfacilitating knowledge management. This paper seeks to unravel the complexitiesassociated with it, initially by developing a typology of such mechanisms.
