Abstract
This study aims to investigate the potential benefits and challenges of integrating optimizationtechniques for productivity improvement in Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) systems. CIM is acomprehensive approach that integrates various aspects of manufacturing, including design, planning, production, and control, using computer-based technologies. Productivity improvement is a critical goalfor manufacturing organizations, as it directly impacts their competitiveness and profitability.Optimization techniques have shown great promise in enhancing productivity by streamliningprocesses, reducing waste, and maximizing resource utilization. However, the effective integration ofthese techniques into CIM systems requires careful consideration and analysis.
