Abstract

Madhya Pradesh, a state in central India, is home to a diverse ecology of waterways andseveral important fish species. These aquatic settings, with their varying ecosystems and crucial roles inlocal populations' daily lives, provide a background for a fascinating interaction between ecology andparasite diseases. Parasites offer a significant but mostly invisible hazard to fish populations, which aregoverned by complex webs of interdependence. A careful equilibrium between ecological interactionsand the underlying dangers offered by parasitic organisms is crucial to the survival of these importantfish species. Maintaining a healthy aquatic environment is crucial not just for the fish themselves butalso for the lives of people who rely on them, from peaceful rivers and wide lakes to complicatedmarshes. This work examines how studies of the ecology and parasite infection of a few noteworthyMadhya Pradesh fish species.
