Abstract

The monolayer arrangement is explored with tools including Grazing Incidence Diffraction (GID)from the liquid surface, isotherm investigations, Brewster Angle Microscopy (BAM), and X-Ray Reflectivity(XRR), Pressure-dependent In-situ GID experiments showed that 15mNm, the ionic radicals of the CS beginto distort the head-head ordering, causing the DMV and CS molecules to slide out of their orderedposition in the linear chain of the SAM, and 20mNm, the tails begin to align in a hexagonal lattice.
