Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the variationsin selected speed and anaerobic power resulting from circadian rhythm. Twentyinter college sprinters and jumpers were selected as one of the independentvariable and four different times of the day such as 06:00, 10:00,14:00 and 18:00 hours were selected as otherindependent variables. The collected data were statistically analysed forsignificance using two factor analysis at variance (ANOVA) with repeatedmeasure on second factor whenever the 'F' ratio found to be significant for interactionthe simple effect followed by Scheffe's test was used as follow up test. In allthe cases .05 level was fixed as a level of confidence. It was concluded thatthe changes in speed and anaerobic power showed significant variation betweeninter college sprinters and jumpers at different times of the day.
