Abstract
The purpose of the present study was to compare thepre-competition anxiety between male and female basketball players of interuniversity. The sample consisted of 30 volleyball players who had representedthe top four teams of north zone inter university competition. To examine thecomparison of pre-competition anxiety between male and female basketballplayers, pre-competition anxiety questionnaire (SCAT) developed by RainerMarten was used. To analyzed the raw scores and “t test” were computed. Theresult shows that male and female differ significantly from each other andfemale are found more anxious than male in this study has found by the “t test”at0.05 level of significance.
